It's Quiz Time

Can you identify anyone in this picture? Everyone up in Oregon should be able to find at least one person they know. Please don't type the name of who you see, just tell me the number of people you can identify. Bonus points for the year this was taken. If you are one of the first, please don't give away anything. Dottie, this means you too! Let's get all the kids in on this one. Be sure to include each kid's name and their guess. Thanks to all.

Joshua Makes a Pinata!

He had a lot of fun with this project. Emily held it up for Joshua the entire time..she is one strong girl and a great helper.
Looks like Emily has a big head...no wait, it's just that Jenn and Josh wanted the spot light .

Can you guess what his Pinata was?

Jennifer Creates a Pinata for Her Spanish Class

This is the beginning. She started out with gloves, but finally took them off as they were too bulky.
Making progress.

I guess it was just a little mistake, but she started putting the strips of paper on my face!

Here you can see everyone working.

It took Jenn 6 hours to put on all the covering.

Which one is Jenn? It's a bumble bee, by the way.

The Life Of Emily

Yep, she came over after church and made herself at home. At least she wasn't on my side of the bed and didn't get cooties all over it! Yep, she's a pretty cool kid. Oh yeah, she ate about a half a bag of chips and a grilled cheese after that. I wonder if she be able to run after all that!

Emily's First Track Meet

She came in second in both the 100 and 200 meter race. In the second race, she beat the other girl by 1 second and came in second. She was really afraid that she would come in last. But she went ahead and tried her best. Way to go Emmy!

Our Trip

This is the Trailer park where we stayed for 3 days.
This is in the Bellagio.

Just after this was taken, the snail ate Ginger's hand.

This is the ceiling in the hotel.

I was amazed that the water was so perfectly shaped as the stream went over my head. I wonder how they do that?

The Bridge at Hoover Dam. Isn't it something?

This is the bridge that they have been working on for years. It will bypass Hoover dam. Last year, one of the huge cranes fell into the canyon and killed at least one worker. That put the project way behind.
You can see the arch being made. That has got to be scary.

You can see the road on either side and how the arch will finally come together in the middle. I guess they will use wires to hold the road up while they build that too.

Vickie has been moved!

Yep, it took 2 1/2 days, but we got her moved to an upstairs apartment! There is still some stuff to do, but Travis can handle that once he comes into town. Lindsay, Justin and Heather helped for a couple of hours yesterday. Justin is REALLY strong and helped just like an adult. Not that Heather isn't strong, mind you.( I just said that so I wouldn't get punched.) Thanks to all for a great job.

See what I have to put up with?!!!!!

They(Emma) took my phone when I was up there and did all kinds of crazy stuff with it. This is the only picture where they look halfway cute! All the kids(and Tami!) are a lot of fun and I miss them.

Now the secret can be revealed!

All the furniture was for my new HO train downtown buildings, to give them that lived-in look. Sheri helped me arrange all the furniture. She is so good. Thanks to all that took time to guess.

My HO train has a new downtown

You can see a little bit of stuff going on in the buildings. Picture isn't all that great.

Can you guess what I'm doing and where these are going?

Yes, those are my huge hands. What in the world am I doing? And yes, I am singing "It's a Small World After All" while I am doing it. What is this for?

That's Brian, on the right, with a turkey leg.
Sarah & Brian

Us. On a girly butterfly chair.
Went to the Renaissance Festival with Sarah & Brian. Big place. Lots of shows. Didn't get to do everything. Not enough time. Really nice day.

Is Ginger Spoiled or What?

I made Ginger a fire, fixed breakfast for her(gave her part of my pancake), heated up her coffee, and gave her the paper. What more could a guy do?

Hardest Puzzle Ever

This puzzle is really, really hard. Ginger and Sheri have been working on this for a long time. Sheri has found most of the pieces.
Here she is rolling it up to attack another day. Almost done. I tried also. But the piece I had didn't fit anywhere. Honest. And they wouldn't let me use sissors either.

Saturday, Heather came over to help me scalp the front yard.

She was doing the creek, and came out to see all the stuff she would have to carry out to the pile.
I think she was thinking, "I don't want to carry all of that, I might break a nail". Now, I don't think it was that bad!

What a drama queen!

Brandy did most of the work over here!

Friday, Ginger & I trimmed the tree

The limb was over the trailer and birds would poop all over it.
See, it was a BIG limb.

I later got up on the roof and chopped down another big tree limb.

Warning...Scary Picture...Beware

Yes, below is a VERY scary picture. Don't even try and look if you can't handle blood.
Anyway, yesterday, I had a cancerous mole taken off and the incision was larger than I thought. No more being called Pretty Boy! Or Brad Pitt look alike. At least I still have my inner beauty! The stiches won't be taken out for a week. And yes, I was brave during the surgery and I have the lollipop to prove it.

A Gift from Cassie

Cassie sent me a gift last week. A REALLY cute Penguin! Really surprised me. I haven't even thanked her for it yet because of all the sadness we have all felt. But I do need to thank her. It was so sweet of her to think of me. However, I do have one complaint...the Penguin ate all the Grahams in the box! That's right, the box was empty...except for a very fat Penguin.
Thank You again, Cassie. What a good heart you have.

A Birthday Poem

Just in case you missed it...on Vickie's blog. Bob is very clever and funny. Thought you might enjoy this.

To John:
Another year older,
Another year gone.
We all can remember,
A much younger John.

You used to jump fences,
You played basketball.
Now if you tried it,
you'd probably fall.

But remember and don't you forget
About the championship game
That we played on a bet
John won the title and Basketball fame
(yeah, I wrote this...not as good as Bob's, but true)

Your such a nice person,
I'm really in awe,
Happy Birthday to John,
A "Great Brother-in-law".

To Ellie:
Happy Birthday to Ellie,
You just turned thirteen.
You're one of the sweetest,
that I've ever seen.

Your name is so special,
It was well worth the wait.
To be named after Grandma,
The sweet "Grandma Great"

Happy Birthday Dear Ellie,
Keep up the great job.
Happy Birthday to Ellie,
From Lindsay and Bob.

Look What Happened to Us!!!

We haven't had rain, little alone hail, in over 2 months. Just got done with tennis, when this storm blew in. And yes, those little white balls on the ground is hail. As you might imagine, the kids, Jessica, Nicholas and Emily had lots of fun in the rain. Emily even saw her cousin, Savanah, at the park.

What a Bowler!!!!

Yep, Sheri came over to take pictures for her Photo Class, and afterwards, we took her bowling. Not only did she look good, she got strikes too. She had as many strikes as Ginger!

A Hiking We Will Go....

Here is my hiking group; Sarah, Brian and Ginger. It was 7 miles round trip on an "EASY" trail. If that was an easy trail, I would hate to see a hard trail. I was so worried that I would have to carry at least one of them out. As it turns out, Ginger out hiked all of us. This is in the red rocks of Sedona.
This is where I stopped. It was straight up. My knee just couldn't take it. And we were almost there. While I waited, I helped other hikers up, and some of them didn't make it and came back down rather quickly! It was a tough hike. But afterwards, it was Mexican food and drinks, which made it all better!

Look Out World, Sheri Has Her License!

Yep, she passed her driving test the 1st time. Really proud of her. And yes, my hair has turned a little more blonde since teaching her to drive.
